Privacy Policy

01Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide when you submit our inquiry form (“Get Started”):

• Student name and grade level
• Parent or guardian name (optional)
• Email address
• Phone number (optional)
• Subject areas of interest
• Free-text description of academic goals

We do not collect payment information and we do not create user accounts.

We do use analytics, which set cookies in your browser. Where the law requires your consent first, the site asks for it before any analytics load, and declining leaves the rest of the site working normally. Section 08 lists every service involved.

02How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

• Respond to your tutoring inquiry
• Schedule an initial consultation
• Maintain a record of inquiries in a private Google Sheet accessible only to Adi Hebbalae

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

03Data Storage and Retention

Inquiry data is stored in two places: (1) a notification email delivered to our admin address via Resend, and (2) a private Google Sheet. Both are accessible only to Adi Hebbalae. We retain inquiry data for up to 24 months after the date of submission, after which it is deleted.

04Children’s Privacy (COPPA)

Our services are directed to high school students (grades 8–12) and college students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If a student is under 13, a parent or guardian must submit the inquiry form on their behalf. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at adi@balae.org and we will delete it promptly.

05California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, request deletion of your personal information, and opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information). To exercise these rights, contact us at adi@balae.org.

06Your Rights and Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing adi@balae.org with the subject line “Data Request.” We will respond within 30 days.

07Security

We use HTTPS for all data transmission and restrict access to inquiry data to authorised personnel only. No transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but take commercially reasonable measures to protect your information.

08Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to process your inquiry:

• Resend — email delivery. Resend’s Privacy Policy
• Google Sheets (Google Workspace) — lead logging. Google’s Privacy Policy
• Cloudflare— hosting, DDoS protection, and the Turnstile check that keeps automated submissions off the intake form. Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy
• PostHog— product analytics, used to see which pages people read. Loaded only after consent where consent is required. PostHog’s Privacy Policy

09Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
